Do you still have the problem?

When did it appear? After you updated to openSUSE-11.0? After you switched to 
KDE4.0? After you updated OpenOffice.org from the Build Service? After you 
updated any other package, especially the graphics card number? ...

There were recently reported problems with nvidia cards. One is tracked in 
bugzilla, see
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=417410

If it is really related to KDE4.0, it might help to remove the package 
OpenOffice_org-kde that provides the KDE integration for OOo.
