[opensuse] Connecting to a macbook

Got a MacBook laptop today. Does anyone know how to get SuSE to find it. I can ping both ways to and from it. I just can't get it to show in the network area on SuSE nor can I get to show SuSE on it. Well for that matter I have never been able to get SuSe to show up on any of my window machine but I can get them to show up on the SuSe machine. Trying to get away from windows.
