Also check that file /boot/grub/menu.lst has gfxmenu line as above, otherwise it will ignore /boot/messageSorry, need this for 10.3
you aren't helping yourself much here!
a google search provides answers to creating your own /boot/message
webpin provides a download link
/boot/message undoubtedly resides on the install dvd.
ps: webpin is similar(same as) the package search facility on
opensuse.org.
