I think this answer can be found from the mailing list archives..

I suppose you are running 64 bit version of Suse? You should
then install the 32-bit qt libraries (skype is a 32 bit program).
Look for "qt" and "32" in the package manager.. or was it "qt3" ?
That worked for me.
