I have a second system with Vista installed. I would not have a clue as to
how to use the ssh.
Install PuTTY (http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/)
Test it, to make sure it works, then - the next time your linux box hangs -
log in and run "top" to see what is consuming CPU
I did come across a couple of web pages that also said with instability
problem use CPUFREQ=no bios=nomsi in the boot loader (lilo in my case)
I have installed these two and so far no lockups.
I also tried to install the NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.14.05-pkg2.run but I
got my system is running the 32 bit version and the scrip exited. If this
is the case then why did Yast2 install the
NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-173.14.09_2.6.22.18_0.2-0.1 from the Nvidia repository
?
