Hi, today I installed the ATI Graphic Card driver from the official OpenSuse repositories. The version number is 8.493_2.6.25.5_1.1-2.1. The hardware is a Dell Inspirion 6000 Laptop with a ATI X300 Graphic Card. Normally there is no further configuration necessary to get the driver up and running. But when I try to start up the driver, I get the following message: "There was a problem initializing Catalyst Control Center Linux edition. It could be caused by the following: No ATI graphics driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware, or configure using aticonfig." I tried two things: I configured the driver with aticonfig --initial and additionaly with sax2 -r. Both without success. I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you in advance for your help.
