I live in Canada and have bought the boxed version a few times in the past. However, this time the only means of shipping to Canada is via UPS, which I refuse to use, due to their obscene border brokerage fees.
When I sold computers UPS was nortorous for getting lost in Canada so we used FedEx. You might have a friend order it and send it to you that way.

Aside from the added cost, how would that help to convince them to not use UPS? So long as they ship only UPS, I will not buy.
Interesting. My wife does quite a bit of eBay and while she uses USPS
mainly for her shipping, she receives most of her products via UPS, and
we've never had a problem. I recently took a train from Boston to San
Diego, and a cruise to Hawaii, and I sent my suitcase via UPS (ground)
to San Diego. While the initial estimate online was 10 days, the
suitcase actually arrived in 4 days. The hotel told my wife they didn't
get it, but I was able to track it on my PDA, and when my wife told
them who signed for the package the hotel found it. Again, my
experience with UPS is domestic in the US, and they have been very,
very good.
