1 man on sparc 100 man on PPC 10000 on x86 SPARC has about 0.01% of user base of x86.
But if there any SPARC people interested, it might be nice to build SPARC port of openSUSE.
There once was SuSE-linux 7.0 - 7.3... (still have it here) And even a sparc dedicated mailing list ;=8 (all gone) A real fully supported SLE (s/d) is out of the question, it just won't sell, and hence not worth the effort for suse's employees. Fair enough. OTOH, It would certainly be a nice community project, but expect it to take a huge amount of effort & time.
