I noticed that too. Your messages landed in archive :-)
It seems that is a problem with system clock. 
I had unstable clock until started ntp daemon.
The ntp demon will keep time, but that is only workaround.

Seems bug, but I'm out of time to check bugzilla right now.

Here happened the same, in the same scenario. It is a bug. 

Right click on icon, select properties, click on document icon that replaced 
trashbin icon. It will open icon selection dialog. It opens in Applications 
by default, but there is more categories in that dropdown menu, so check them 
all and you'll find oxygen icon for thrash bin.
