in ubuntu you write: /etc/init.d/udev restart
What do you write in open suSE?
Why would you want to restart udev ?
/etc/init.d/boot.udev restart Though I don't thing you need to restart it to get rules changes in effect. Possibly for the main config file. Just edit your rule and retry your action, edit the rule... I have had to work on rules a few times, yet I don't think I've ever restarted udevd on any machine ever. -- Brian K.
