|-----Original Message----- |From: Bogdan Cristea [mailto:cristeab@gmail.com] | |I have seem by chance your post when I was trying to access an ISO file |from a Windows machine to Linux. Even if I am able to browse the shared |folders with Konqueror, when I try to mount in Linux a shared folder: | |mount -t cifs -o |username=un,password=pw //192.168.1.30/Soft/ /media/win-shares/ | |the win-shares folder is not accessible: | |d????????? ? ? ? ? ? win-shares | |Could you or someone advise please? Hi Do not use the /media/ folder since it is managed by some remote device media-mounter. You have manually created the /media/win-shares directory ? This directory must exists. Try with the -v option to mount. Can you access the same share with smbclient? smbclient has the -d[1-10] option which gives you all the debug info you'll ever like and much more. I use it for debugging all the time when testing various samba-options. -- MortenB - Oslo - Norway -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
