I tried installing the version of seamonkey from the Mozilla site and
it has just done the same; large CPU use, no refresh of the screen.
3877 ? S 0:00 /bin/sh /usr/local/seamonkey/seamonkey
3888 ? S 0:00 /bin/sh /usr/local/seamonkey/run-mozilla.sh
/usr/loca 3893 ? Sl 13:58 /usr/local/seamonkey/seamonkey-bin

14min in just over 1 hour elapsed, and not used very much
