Thanx Philippe,

I have tried to install the iScan, but it needs an libieee1284.so.3 (32 
Bit). Installed by default on openSUSE 10.3 is the 
libieee1284.so.3()(64bit) 0.2.10-107, in /usr/lib64
So I guess the i586 libs will go into /usr/lib. I further presume the 
iScan software will automatically be directed to the 32bit version and 
not the 64bit version (which should be left for 64bit apps)?
I found a 32bit libieee1284.so.3 for openSUSE 10.3 here: 
http://fr2.rpmfind.net//linux/RPM/opensuse/10.3/i586/libieee1284-0.2.10-107.i586.html. 

Installing it gives errors:

Can both be installled at the same time? How have you solved these 
conflicts (if only it is "man/man3" and "test" files)?
