Hello SuSE people,

Trying to delete and forrmat a partition on my USB hard drive. Yast
partitioner won't let me do it. I get the message "system error code
-3002"

I have no idea what that means.

Google brings up nothing but Windoze and Mac errors.

Anyone?

Bob S

Check out this:

Thanks for replying Jim,

Checked out that URL, but the problem is on 10.3 and has nothing to do with
swap space and I have a GB of ram. The problem is on a new 250GB USB hard
drive where I am trying to create an ordinary ext3 partition, The first two
partitions, SDD1, and SDD2 are fine. The SDD3 partition refuses to be
deleted or formatted.

Now I am getting a system error code -3039 about not being able to write to
fstab.

Bob S

Oh well, I've never had this problem myself. I just found the link. But if the
problem is only on your usb disk, then I would bet on a hardware problem.

JIM
