I'm asking because I was having a discussion about various linux versions w/ someone from the "Windows World" who was giving me a lot of static because "You can't watch a DVD right out of the box like you can w/ Windows"
Not really true: the software to watch videos comes bundled with the DVD reader, not with windows. So, once you install the reader and its drivers and software, then yes, you can watch videos in windows, not before. Of course, if you buy the box ready installed you don't have to do anything. - -- Cheers, Carlos E.
