On 2 different 10.3 installs (both identical except for Firefox) sudo (or kdesudo) works totally different, why? Specifically, on one I am asked for a root password in kde for Yast and kde control center "Administrator Mode", on the other, no password is required. It doesn't make sense.
Both have "%wheel ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: SETENV: ALL" in /etc/sudoers by visudo and on both, the user is a member of the wheel group. Why doesn't sudo work the same on both? What can I check? Thanks for your help.
Footnote: On 11.0 with the same setup a password is required for Yast and Administrator Mode in kde.
There is no kdesudo only kdesu. It used to utilize sudo but it uses su now (read: sudoers have no effect).
