I am running Opensuse 11.0 with KDE 4. While attempting to use xinerama I am greeted with a white desktop and no widgets (the panel is still at the bottom). I am using the same xorg.conf file that I used in Opensuse 10.3. Starting Suse with one monitor has no problems.
The xorg.conf file separates the nvidia cards DVI ports into separate devices so I can split them between another screen. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does kde4 leave a log file somewhere? .xsession-errors leaves no hints.
Take a look at these pages to see if anything helps. And you might consider trying xrandr.
