More importantly, what did they do with Kong filemanager mode? Kong was one of the best filemanagers around. I loved the ability to link a shell to the current directory window.
While I always use mc (Midnight Commander) as my preferred file manager, I do use konqueror, in file manager mode, on occasions to view graphics (jpgs, gifs). For this reason I support your comment that 'Kong' is one of the better file managers around - and "The Albatross" is simply that, an albatross. Sorry, I meant to state dolphin.
