[opensuse] printing question - how do I use the printer fonts from a PDF?

This isn't really openSUSE specific, but this list is full of knowledgeable people, so - I need to print a document with certain items/lines in OCR-B. This font is available in my printer (via a special font-cartridge). Presumably I need to use some of the printer control command set (KPDL).
