I'd tried that, before, in 10.3, and never got it to work. Sorta gave 
up. But, tried this, in a just-updated 11.0 -
Personal Settings -> KDE components -> Component Chooser,
and changed the Web Browser selection to 'firefox' (mine said 
mozillafirefox)

Bingo!!
