Hi, all.........
Is there a better forum for newbie problems like this? I am new to this, so I apologize for the dumb Q's, but I need some direction as to who to ask, what to read, or even what the correct terminology is.
Well, for starters, the connector type is "DE9", not "DB9". The way it breaks down, is "D" refers to the connector series, the 2nd letter refers to the shell size and the number how many pins there are. See the ITT Cannon catalog for details.
Thanks is advance..................... jt
Hi, all..............
I am trying to open a DB9 serial port on a laptop to communicate with a radio. I have converted the laptop to openSUSE 10.2.
How can I open a serial port and set the parameters with open SUSE? How can I confirm that I was successful in controlling the port to aid in trouble shooting the overall communication issue?
Many thanx............... jt
