Thanks for the responses.  I will check out the websites suggested and the 
Brothers.  I use one now with another system and it works fine.  I have had 
same concerns about HP with windows, largely what drove me away from them to 
try the Epson, also the dis-abling of the printer for B/W printing when a 
color tank went dry...then found the same thing with my current printer.
