I am pretty sure that I read on this list that the option for choosing
the legacy drivers was only at installation time.
Bob S
Nope. If you do choose to use the legacy driver you will need to also
modify your fstab file accordingly.
Hmmmm.....Really !! How do I do that ? From the install DVD? I
certainly wouldn't mind hand editing the fstab files.
Hmmmm....No response from Felix or Ken, nor any comment from Carlos who
suffers the same malady as I, Sooooo...guys, can you, or cannot you "go
back" and if you can, how do you do it??? Is it at every boot? or can
you fix it permanently??
Bob S
As I said, you need to modify the entries in fstab from sdxx to hdxx for
the IDE drives. And also change menu.lst accordingly. As far as how, name
your poison, I use vi.
