Hi,
I have configure ntp client using yast and even restarted the ntp client daemon. How come the my time is still not syncing the following morning with the time server?
No way to tell - network unreachable, using an invalid ntp server, firewall rules preventing the connection... Is ntpd running? What is the output of "ntpq -pn"?
How can i configure my client to update every 2 hours without using cron?
Why do you want to run ntpdate every 2 hours? Why not just run ntpd, and be done with it? If you want a discrete update every 2 hours, you'll have to use cron, but I don't see any reason to do it that way.
Thanks and please shed me the light.
BTW i'm using SLES10.
