Hi, I'm hoping someone have an idea on this. I'm trying to install SLED10SP1 onto the EeePC. Using OpenSUSE 10.3 GNOME CD, I'm able to create an installation thumb drive using the instructions from http://en.opensuse.org/SuSE_install_from_USB_drive I've tried to use the same method with a SLED10SP1 DVD. But it doesn't seem to work. The process halts at the point where I'm supposed to run this command: mksusebootdisk --32 --partition /dev/sdb1 /mnt/tmp Since I was using the SLED10SP1 DVD, instead of the command above, I ran: mksusebootdisk --32 --partition /dev/sdb1 /media/SLED10SP1 Where the DVD is mounted at /media/SLED10SP1. After entering the command, the process seems to be stuck. I've ensured that the thumb drive is unmounted. There is enough space on the drive (8GB). So my question is can this be done at all? Does the problem lie with mksusebootdisk? Is this file supposed to work with openSUSE only? Any insight will be appreciated. Thanks.
