yes, iwl4965
About a month ago t61p with the iwl4965 in it. I was able to get it running on my home wireless network (essid broadcast and no encryption) but it would just not connect to any of the wireless networks at my work. I fought it for a few days and finally paid Lenovo the small bit of change to send me a 3945. 10 min. with a screwdriver and my wireless problems are gone. Not that this is a "Solution" to your issue in the conventional sense. However, if you start to feel that any more of your time spent fighting the 4965 is a waste then at least you can feel secure in the knowledge that OpenSUSE, a t61p, and a iwl3945 get along just fine.
