Wow, you have missed out on a great resource. To search, check http://software.opensuse.org/search
I found there: spca5xx-kmp-bigsmp (i586) spca5xx-kmp-debug (i586) spca5xx-kmp-default (i586) spca5xx-kmp (source)
All those are listed as Factory_Vanilla. I tried the 1 click on kmp-default. That gets me a dep conflict "no installable providers of ...2.6.23_gbbf25010_22.1-13.39...". Now what?
Use the correct version for your system. You said you are running 10.2. Assuming you update your kernel for security fixes, add http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/drivers:/webcam/openSUSE_10.2_Upda...
as a yast source, and install the kmp-spca5xx-(kernel flavor) for your kernel version and arch. HTH.
That worked as far as getting spca5xx to modprobe, but Skype doesn't see it. What can I use to test if the Ezcam II works at all? -- "Let us not love with words or in talk only.
