well, I installed XP in virtualbox and it works (the sound)Very good!
so far so good, one point for open source :-))
I like virtual box, as i use it for the 11.0 alpha testing. I only
use vmware
because my xp image is several years old and I don't feel like
recreating it.
You can use VMware images in VirtualBox with little in the way of
tweaks. I copied my W2000 image to VirtualBox and only needed to remove
the VMware tools package first, run the installer to take care of the
change in the "virtual hardware" and then install the VirtualBox tools
package.
I should add that the installer I refer to is the windows installer for
the version of windows you are using.
How are you making Windows images to be put in Virtualbox ?
It is a VMware disk image.
