I can use the yast settings. And it works. But only if the
keyboard layouts in kde are disabled. In this case there is no
language flag in the system tray however, which I don't like.

It works even if the kde layouts are enabled. But it does not change
the flag, which is bad.

I was looking for years a solution for this problem, but ... after
all, as I less and less touch windows, and I do not need to switch
layouts there, I get used to ctrl-alt-K combination :)
