With small fans used in computer the spindle (motor, bearings) is usually the 
same or almost the same size. The trick is that bigger diameter propeller 
will rotate slower with the same size motor anyway, but due to better 
efficiency of longer blades it will blow more air instead of blowing user ear 
drums. Second, I haven't seen CPU cooling solution with bigger fan and no 
funnel to keep that air flowing to CPU, not somewhere in that direction.
