I didn't say anything about icons.
Eye-candy isn't a sticking point for me.
The previously mentioned MISSING FUNCTIONALITY is.

And crashing konsole is completely unacceptable.
Yes, there's a work-around (xterm, etc), but the newbie user
is not going to know that.

One thing that this community ALWAYS talks about is the
stability and "method of last resort" of the the command
line, and thus the added value of having a good CLI in
addition to the GUI.

Crashing konsole destroys that argument.
