I am installing this package from source because I have found no appropriate binary for x86_64. The directions in the source package seem very clear (which is good, because this is my first attempt at installation from source). I have already installed libsigc++2...rpm, because I know (I have been at this half a day) that it contains two library files that are required. The first step in the directions is <make>. It tells me: ***** configure: error: Library requirements (sigc++-1.2 >= 1.2.3) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them. ***** Looking for the location of the required files: ***** # find -name "libsigc*" ./tmp/libsigc++2-2.0.18-5.3.x86_64.rpm ./usr/share/doc/packages/libsigc++2 ./usr/lib64/libsigc-2.0.so.0 ./usr/lib64/libsigc-2.0.so.0.0.0 ***** I do not see libsigc++2, which is what the package is supposed to be all about. For something to do, I tried the library installation again: ***** # rpm -Uvh libsigc++2-2.0.18-5.3.x86_64.rpm warning: libsigc++2-2.0.18-5.3.x86_64.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 629ff0c2 Preparing... ########################################### [100%] package libsigc++2-2.0.18-5.3 is already installed ***** Where do I need to go from here? -- Stan Goodman Qiryat Tiv'on Israel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
