fact is many windows applications don't run at all if not used as administrator, and this opens all.
Most do run without elevated privileges and the few I've encountered access resources that require elevated privileges. OK, there are a few stupid apps that for instance want to write their .ini file in the installation directory but for those it helps to just adjust the privileges needed to also write to that file. Like with Linux where I do most of the work as normal user, I also do most work on Windows as non-admin user. And now where's the relevance to this ml's subject?
