hmm, so it's *not* locked up, it's just that the keyboard/display are
non-responsive.
I have a Toshiba Tecra M2 which wouldn't wake up once the display went
to sleep - I discovered that by closing the lid and opening it again,
the laptop would come back to life. Dunno if it applies to your situation.
