If I understood correctly, you want to see real URL of the reference.
You can use "Page source" under view menu to see full HTML code of the
page, but there is better option: select the place where your "button"
or "alias" is placed with a mouse, right click and select "view
selection source". You'll see source HTML of just that part of the web
page.

Hello. Is there a built in command in linux to trace/dump internet
browser interaction with servers. For example I am downloading a file by
clicking a button on a web page. I do not see the link itself, though I
want to. How can I dump this information? I am using firefox in suse
10.3.
