I was also using kinternet, but the same problem was happening with
kinternet. I can connect the first time, and then disconnect. But the
second time the modem doest respond. So i tried using wvdial. Below
are the steps i use to bring up the module
modprobe -v usbserial vendor=0x05c6 product=0x6000
smpppd
Then use kinternet or wvdial to dial out
My device is /dev/ttyUSB0
