Buying a second monitor would be great,

explains that the best way to run GUI tasks
on a second machine, using one monitor and no KVM,
would be to establish a network and then
use NX by Nomachine.com.
Is FreeNX which he doesn't mention better ?
VNC apparently is
* - Difficult to install and use (... lets not dwell.)
* - Slow
* - UnSecure
* - Can not adjust to different client monitor sizes easily
* - Bad server and client management (... lets not dwell.)
:-)

Hi, i would like to operate a second computerA KVM switch usually is OK if the machines are close together. Otherwise
so i can use more hard disks and CPU power.
Is this easy to do with 1 monitor and keyboard ?
I am already using a simple router.
What is the best setup you would recommend ?
have something cheap and cheerful on one and drive everything else via X
on your main machine.
Usually is not too much of a problem...
