#3 Initially i was redialing in abour 5-10 seconds, but then i thought
the telco might not be responsive enough i.e. if the resources are not
freed at telco side. So i waited about 5 mins and redialed using
wvdial again. But still the problem happens.

Umesh,#1 I will Check stupid Mode = 0 and check the results.
1-Why do you use Stupid Modem = 1 ? If you need it to start your
connection, Ok, but if you did not, that may be the reason.
2-Why Ask Passowrd = 0 ?
3-Most important: how long did you wait between stopping wvdial and
starting it again? I ask this because it seems that when you start the
second attempt tyour and the other side modems are still connected!
