The icon of this applet is permanently orange in color. At irregular
intervals (several times a day), it puts up a notice telling me that new
software is ready and inviting me to install it. After the apparently
spurious installation is complete, the icon becomes green (which it ought
to be most of the time) for a matter of a few seconds, then returns to
its usual (abnormal) orange condition.
What might be causing this behavior, and what can I do about it?
Please create a bugreport, we should fix this properly instead of you
working around it ;-)
