[opensuse] Howto tell mail (mailx) to send with user@domain not user@xxxxxxxxxxx?

Where do you configure the setting for mail to send mail as user@xxxxxxxxxx instead of sending as user@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx? I've looked at .mailrc options, no help, I've read man mailx no help. Where is this little setting stored?
