I've got a new graphics card (Radeon X1650) and I was trying to
get Xgl to run. When I tried to enable 3d (sax -r -m 0=fxglr), I
got a segfault.

Two things. Have you installed the fglrx drivers? If so, did you
run the aticonfig program?

Yep, works fine.

Ok.. Just a thought..

And just out of curiousity, is the command you ran the same as you
typed? If so, it's fglrx and not fxglr.

No, what I ran was the correct version.

OK.. I mistype it so often, that I have to look before typing it.

Is this something I should be reporting to Novell/openSUSE or ?

I don't think so. I don't believe that they support these drivers.

Well, I was wondering about that, particuarly as Xgl is part of
SLED10. I might just write up a report and see what happens.

Sounds like a plan. And it never hurts. The worst that will happen is
that they ignore it. Good Luck
