It seems to me that the modem is not recognized. However, as in Yast, hardware information, the modem is correctly detected. Any ideas?
what address does yast report for the modem, and it probably is not a /dev/sd?? address. if you cannot find an address via yast (which I am sure is there), have you tried disconnecting the modem, pause for about 60 seconds, reconnect the modem and do from the cl "dmesg". The correct address will be reported. ps.
