I am running 10.3 up until this point with out any trouble. I don't
consider myself a linux expert just a user for over ten years. I have
never seen this happen.
Last evening I tried to open a spread sheet with OO and found that OO was no longer installed on my machine although two other spreadsheets were open at the time.So I reinstalled OO. I looked around a little closer while the install was running and noticed my KDE menus looking a little lean. This morning I tried to play a .wmv but I did not have any media players installed. By missing I mean I couldn't even find the files in their directories. I noticed that pidgin was missing although it was open. But after trying to use it it disappeared.
I reinstalled most of the missing programs which included compiz, multimedia, office, some games and utilities. The Suse updater updated a bunch of Samba stuff yesterday. This is a desktop machine with Samba and SSH. It connects to the net through a router. Has this happened to anyone else?
Thanks
Roger
