I recently bought a 64 bit machine and have 10.3 loaded . It seems very fast.
I am trying to appraise if the advantages of having some software not work because of driver issues is worth it.
I think also that 64bit software runs better on a 64bit CPU then 32bit Software. But i want to say what is not working (or what i didn't get working): Moneyplex for example is still a 32bit application so drivers for CardReaders hav to be compiled 32bit also. Problem is now that 32bit CardReader drivers (especially Kobil Kaan Advanced USB) doesn't work with 64bit backends like pcsc-lite and pcsc-ccid and i haven't found a solution yet. Funny thing: the driver connects to the backend via a socket, so this is bad designed Software which depends on the architecture, like 32bit mysql-client cannot connect to a 64bit mysql-server! :-( Maybe i am wrong and someone has some information how to solve this problem maybe with libchipcard, but there is no documentation how to do!
