Ok, I think I really have it this time. That RPM had an old version of
the patch that is in the HEAD kernel. It was missing a memset 0 -> 0xff
change that would cause the problems you're describing.
I'm building an update RPM now, and it'll be posted shortly.
Updated packages have been posted.
