I am having a problem with the clipboard that is really annoying me. It is not openSUSE specific, but happens with openSUSE as well as with other Unix OSes.
I am working in a MeidaWiki, making changes to a bunch of pages. The work flow is: - edit a wiki page - paste in the new text with Ctrl+V - highlight and delete some old text - save the edits - move on to the next page
I'm not sure about the clipboard problem, but I have a suggestion anyway. Run the mozex firefox plugin and you can use whatever editor you want with no cutting and pasting. You just right-click on a textarea, click Mozex -> Edit Textarea. I use this plugin many times per day because it's so much faster and more convenient to use gvim to edit textareas. http://mozex.mozdev.org/development.html make sure to install 1.9.5 and nothing earlier. (incidentally, if you do use gvim as your editor, don't forget the -f param.) - -- Andy Harrison public key: 0x67518262 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: http://firegpg.tuxfamily.org iD8DBQFHH+NnNTm8fWdRgmIRAoh9AJ4xIV9mlmDmH0ZgPj0KAq+MtV9K2ACgzjOh OIj8qrBJg88mXVCSMNkxL+w= =HCup -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
