You're welcome, Peter. Out of curiosity, was the file 'landed' in situ in that condition at installation? If so, that might warrant at least a bugzilla search to see if it's already been reported.
That is a good question; I am not too sure. I tend to execute kghostview from the command line, and have only noticed the error in the few weeks or so. I am not sure if it was following an update; I have just checked and noted that qt3 was updated recently qt3-devel-3.3.7-18 Wed 26 Sep 2007 09:47:19 AM EDT qt3-3.3.7-18 Wed 26 Sep 2007 09:47:04 AM EDT which is the time frame that I noticed the change. This could be a 'red herrnig' though and anecdotal. I am not too sure if displaying a post script file as root changed the permissions.
