On a Dell Inspiron 6400 / E1505 laptop with a DuoCore2 processor, 2GB
RAM, Intel wireless, ATI X1400 graphic card, and 1680x1050 resolution
screen, I cannot get a GUI. The system boots into a console with the
message "Cannot connect to X server". This machine has Ubuntu Linux
7.04 installed and running fine in another disk partition, so I know
that it is capable of running Linux. It also ran Fedora Core for a few
months.
What must I check to diagnose this? Thanks in advance.
