Hi all,
I'm trying to install 10.3 on a few different machines. This laptop (Thinkpad T60, i386) went just about perfect, except for ATI 3D setup, which refuses to work.
However on 2 different AMD64 machines, the installer runs up to a point and then just comes back with "No repository found". I'm using the X86_64 DVD, and just in case, I tried it on a 32 bit machine, and got the correct warning about it being a 64bit DVD and not running on 32 bit machines.
One of the 64bit boxes is SATA only, the other is a mix of SATA and PATA. I've seen some newsnet traffic about SATA drivers, but 10.2 works just fine on both machines. Both show the same problem.
Can anyone clarify what that message really means? Any suggestions to fix it?
Well, what it means is just what it says: it couldn't find a repository that it could work with. The reasons for it could be anything from a bad URL, bad network connection or overloaded server (in case of a network install), or a read error on the DVD (in case of a DVD install) If you switch to one of the text consoles (ctrl-alt-f1, f2, f3 etc) you may see some error messages that really tell you what's going on. Perhaps you accidentally started a network install?! -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
