All,

I have a 6 month old Dell Desktop.  I have had 10.2 running on it.  I
am now doing a clean install of 10.3 RC1.  (ie. I had the install
format the disk and start over.)

Anyway, late in the install process my GUI presentation flashes to
text mode presentation for a 30-60 seconds, then I got a flashing
screen.

I used cntrl-alt-F2 to get a console and brought it down to init 3
just fine.  Then I tried "sax2 -l" and after 30-60 seconds I again got
a flashing screen.

Moving my mouse around I have the impression that the entire screen is
a big mouse pointer?

Any suggestions how to proceed.

How
A suggestion: the final version of 10.3 is now available -- or will be tomorrow (Thursday) -- so why bother with fooling around with RC1?

Cheers.
